People who want to give the state input in a plan for cleaning up and protecting water quality of Floyds Fork should sign up now.
It won’t be enough to go to EPA public meetings, because they seem to be pretty much meant only to allow government officials to talk to the public and answer questions — not take comments from the public.
To more deeply participate, write to Anna.Hoover@uky.edu or phone 859-257-1299.
Other Floyds Fork updates were made public this week, including a list of websites with information from two public meetings:
Environmental Protection Agency Region Four, here, with information about TMDLs, including the Floyds Fork Nutrient TMDL.
Kentucky Division of Water, Floyds Fork, here, with general information about TMDLs, watersheds and links to additional resources.
Kentucky Division of Water Floyds Fork Facebook page, here, for information about the Floyds Fork TMDL. If you are a member of Facebook, you can “Like” this site to receive announcements regarding upcoming meetings.
